Our Story

A Beer for Anyone Who Shows Up

Frontline Brewing Co. was started in 2023 by two first responders, one of them a U.S. Army veteran. It was built out of appreciation for the people who keep this country running: the ones who serve and protect, and the ones who build, teach, heal, haul and harvest, along with the families who stand behind them. They wanted a beer that honors that hard work, and gives back to the people who do it.

Their answer was a great American beer. A classic American lager, nothing fancy, the kind you raise at a cookout, a tailgate or a firehouse table. They called it Frontline, and put one line on every can: Brewed for the Brave.

It started as a beer for first responders and the military. It grew into a beer for anyone who shows up for their family, their work and their community.

Here’s to everyone who shows up.

How It Grew

We kept showing up.

The early road had setbacks. We lost our first distributor and our first brewing partner. We rebuilt, and kept going.

2023

The first batch of Frontline American Lager is brewed. Greenville, South Carolina is the starting line.

Rebuilt

Giving

Giving Back

Every Event Gives Back

Through Frontline United, we raise a glass and raise support for the people and organizations who show up for their communities.

Frontline United

How we give back.

Frontline United is our give-back program. It brings people together around a cold beer and turns those moments into support for the organizations that take care of the people who serve, and the families behind them.

How the tracker works

Four stages, reported separately.

1. Frontline sellsOnly Frontline’s own sales count, such as kegs and cases Frontline sells through its distributor and Frontline merchandise. Individual pours and resale by bars and stores are not Frontline sales.
2. A contribution accruesCalculated under the approved policy once a sale qualifies. An order request alone never counts.
3. Frontline transfers itShown as transferred only after Frontline United confirms receipt.
4. Frontline United givesEach payment to an organization is listed with its date, purpose and amount, once the organization agrees to be named.
Methodology & FAQ

Straight answers.

Items marked “Being finalized” will be answered here when the contribution policy is approved. Until then, nothing on this page is a pledge.

Which sales qualify?Being finalized

Only Frontline’s own sales will qualify. The approved policy will list the eligible products and package formats, and when a sale counts (for example, once it’s paid).

How is the contribution calculated?Being finalized

The approved policy will state a specific amount or rate per eligible product. It will be published here word for word before any amounts are reported.

Is anything added to what customers pay?

No. Nothing is added to anyone’s bill for Frontline United, and this page does not accept donations.

When do amounts accrue and get transferred?Being finalized

Amounts accrue when a sale qualifies under the approved policy. The transfer schedule will be published with the policy. A transfer is only shown once receipt is confirmed.

How are organizations selected?Being finalized

The selection process will be published with the policy. An organization is named here only after it agrees.

Are any expenses deducted?Being finalized

If any program expenses are approved, they will be reported separately, never hidden inside other figures.

How are refunds and corrections handled?

Refunds and credits reduce the accrued amount. Mistakes are fixed with a visible correction, never by quietly changing past figures.

How often is this updated?

Each report shows its reporting period and the date it was published. The update schedule will be set with the approved policy.

Before the tracker

Frontline has raised support at events for organizations including Upstate Warrior Solution, Palmetto Frontline Foundation and Soldiers’ Angels. That history is shown for context and is not counted in the tracker figures above.

How It’s Made

From Grain to Glass

Four simple ingredients, a cool fermentation and a South Carolina brewhouse. Here’s how Frontline comes together.

What Goes In

Four simple ingredients.

Water

Most of what’s in the glass. Clean water is where a crisp lager starts.

Malt

Pale malt for a clean, light body, plus Carafoam for smoothness and a lasting head.

Hops

Magnum hops for a clean, gentle bitterness that keeps every sip balanced.

Yeast

German lager yeast, fermented cool for a crisp, dry finish.

How It’s Made

Six steps from grain to glass.

  1. 01

    Mash

Crushed malt steeps in hot water, turning the grain’s starches into sugars.

  2. 02

    Lauter

The sweet liquid, called wort, is drained off and the grain is rinsed.

  3. 03

    Boil and hop

The wort is boiled and the hops go in for balance and bitterness.

  4. 04

    Ferment

The wort is chilled and lager yeast is added. Working cool, it turns sugar into alcohol and carbonation.

  5. 05

    Condition

“Lager” comes from the German word for “to store.” The beer rests cold until it’s clean and bright.

  6. 06

    Package

Finished beer is packaged into half kegs, sixtels and 12 oz cans, then sent out cold.

A can of Frontline next to a freshly poured glass
In the Glass

Why it tastes so clean.

Frontline is fermented with German lager yeast at cool temperatures, then conditioned cold. That cooler, slower approach is what gives a lager its clean flavor and crisp, dry finish.
